Introduction

Education is an area of special emphasis and attention in Himachal Pradesh. The spread of education and the dissemination of knowledge are directly linked to the quality of teachers. So, in 2007 the Managing Committee decided to start B.Ed. course to impart high quality teacher-training to the students of outstanding.

The institute is committed to provide academic excellence, personality development, inter-personal innovative and communication skills to all its Teacher Trainees. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty and a full-fledged professional training setup.

Eligibility and Admission

Admission to B.Ed. Course will be regulated and conducted as per the norms/guidelines prescribed by H.P. University, Shimla.

• 50% marks in Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree (55% for Engineering)
• 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped categories
• No upper age limits for B.Ed. Admission

Admission Criteria

• First preference to entrance test qualified candidates
• Second preference to entrance test appeared candidates
• Third preference as per eligibility criteria

Course Duration

2 academic years (4 semesters)

Maximum duration: 3 years

Minimum attendance: 75% for Theory & Practical, 90% for Internship
