It gives me immense pleasure to introduce the Department of Botany of Thakur College of education Dhaliara which has completed 6 years of academic excell-ence with the farsighted and commendable services rendered by the faculty mem-bers all through these years. The Department of Botany was established in the year 2017 in our prestigious college. Since then, the department has grown into well recognized department in H.P. state. The department is known for its multidiscipl-inary character. In addition, the subject is also taught as ‘skill courses’ so as to make students capable of earning in the form of part- or full-time business after post-graduation. The department is well equipped with laboratories, exquisite and rare ethnobotanical specimens in the departmental museum, established herbal garden with endemic and rare plants growing in its abode.
